integrating's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- \"hugging 101\" this morning...this ANCIENT man came into the store...wearing a HUGE beaming smile...i just immediately loved him...he pulled out his wallet and opened it to a very old military photograph..."that's me!" he says...i have to see this, so i go over there..."that was during World War I" i studied the picture...then look at his face...find that young face in there...look into his eyes...that was one happy man while he talked i thought about how lucky his grandchildren were...and that chances were i'd never see him again then he showed us pictures of the four wives he's had in his lifetime...i thought it was extremely beautiful that he had pictures of them in his wallet all these years and once again, i resisted the urge to hug a stranger and once again, i regret it 11:00 p.m. - 02.28.03 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
